Australian Council on Healthcare Standards

• Acute stroke management: percentage of inpatients with a diagnosis of ischaemic stroke receiving aspirin within 48 hours of presentation to hospital.

• Acute stroke management: percentage of inpatients with a diagnosis of ischaemic stroke, presenting to the hospital within 4.5 hours of stroke onset, with documented evidence that an intravenous thrombolysis agent was administered.

• Acute stroke management: percentage of inpatients with a primary diagnosis of acute stroke who are prescribed and administered antihypertensive medication prior to discharge.
