2014 Edition Draft Test Scenario for EHR Interoperability: Intake — Released for Public Input

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) has released the first 2014 Edition draft test scenario, EHR Interoperability: Intake.

A test scenario is a set of unit-based procedures linked in a clinically plausible test flow using test data threaded in a logical fashion.

ONC intends to develop additional test scenarios, but first asks for public input on a sample draft test scenario for EHR Interoperability: Intake. We are specifically asking for input on the draft test scenario's concept, structure, usability, and clinical plausibility. These comments may be sent to ONC.Certification@hhs.gov.

After ONC reviews feedback from the public, we will update the test scenarios as appropriate for optional use in testing against the 2014 Edition Standards & Certification Criteria.

For additional information and to access the EHR Interoperability: Intake draft test scenario, please visit our 2014 Edition Test Scenarios webpage.
