New This Week on HealthIT.gov
Short and sweet this week, which leaves you more time to enjoy the first (official) day of summer.
The crowdsourcing phase of the Blue Button Co-Design Challenge wrapped up earlier this week and was a “smashing success,” says ONC’s Adam Wong (@adamkwong). The challenge drew more than 1,200 users and 4,200 page views in only two weeks. Four top ideas were chosen from 81 submitted and will serve as the basis for application developers to drive toward during the next phase of the co-design challenge. Developers now must submit their proposals and engage in application co-design with patient testers on the site Health Tech Hatch. The submission period will continue through August 5, after which the winners will be selected by a combination of public voting and a review panel which will include those responsible for the top-voted idea.
For all the developers whose ideas didn’t make the cut, thanks for playing and we look forward to seeing your ideas in the next challenges.
