New This Week on HealthIT.gov
In This Issue

August is halfway done, soon the leaves will be turning colors and – based on what we’ve seen in the stores, the Holidays will be upon us – and we’re not talking Halloween. Well, here at ONC, we’re still deep into health IT even if we need to wear a sweater in August here in DC.
Behavioral Health Update
This past week we updated information on our Behavioral Health page on HealthIT.gov. We know that health IT can help to improve outcomes for many patients because it allows information to move with them as they move from one care setting to another. On this page you can also find more tools and resources about all things related to health IT and Behavioral Health.
Join the Blue Button Movement
In case you missed it, Lygeia Ricciardi (@Lygeia) and Adam Dole (@adamdole), one of our Presidential Innovation Fellows, blogged about ways you can join the Blue Button Movement. More than 450 different organizations and companies have pledged to offer Blue Button or encourage people to use it to take control of their health information.  We encourage organizations to take the Pledge and join the Blue Button movement!
