New Approach to Certification and Timeline for Stage 2

You may have missed our big announcement last week, so just to recap: ONC is proposing a new%20approach%20to%20EHR%20certification%20criteria%20and%20extended%20Meaningful%20Use%20Stage%202 through the end of 2016. Stay tuned for more details about a webinar next week to discuss how this may impact your organization.

Attestation Deadline

Along these lines, our friends at CMS are reminding eligible professionals that the reporting period ends Dec. 31, but the deadline to attest to Meaningful Use isn’t until 11:59 p.m. ET on Feb. 28.

Patient Matching Meeting

We are holding a meeting here in D.C. Monday (Dec. 16) to discuss our new patient matching initiative. The latest findings on this project will be discussed and are based on feedback from stakeholders and information we have gathered from "an extensive literature review of past patient matching work and reports," writes Lee Stevens, ONC Policy Director for the State HIE program.
