Malcolm Gladwell and Karen DeSalvo to Ignite Interoperability tomorrow as keynote speakers for HCI-DC 2014

Please don't forget that tomorrow, bestselling author Malcolm Gladwell and the new National Coordinator for Health IT, Dr. Karen DeSalvo, will be featured as keynote speakers at HCI-DC 2014: Igniting an Interoperable Health Care System in Washington, D.C.

If you have not registered already or cannot attend in person, please join the live webcast! Limited onsite registration will be available, but the entire day will be broadcast live.

HCI-DC will convene policy makers and the public and private sectors to discuss innovative solutions to our nation’s health care cost challenges and will bring government leaders, policy makers, health care advocates, business leaders, business development executives, academics, and product and technology specialists together to drive a conversation on medical interoperability.

In addition to remarks from Malcolm Gladwell and Karen DeSalvo, we'll tackle interoperability from a variety of perspectives—including the point of care, the market need, the vendor, and the health system—and we’ll learn from other industries the approach to interoperability. And in a morning "fireside chat," ONC's Doug Fridsma will be joined by FDA Center for Devices and Radiological Health Director Jeffrey Shuren for a discussion on our shared efforts towards interoperability.
