Nursing bedside clinical handover—an integrated review of issues and tools.
Anderson J, Malone L, Shanahan K, Manning J. J Clin Nurs. 2014 Oct 16; [Epub ahead of print].
This literature review sought to determine factors that influence nursing beside handoffs. The evidence supports the use of structured tools in general but does not identify a specific tool as being most effective. Detailed information about implementation and sustainment of best practices is lacking, as with other recommended patient safety practices.
