HHS Partnership Center Newsletter

HHS Partnership Center w/ Text Transparent

Dear Partners

In an effort to continue to improve our communication to faith and community groups around the country, we are proud to present this shorter format of our newsletter. Our hope is that this gives you a quick insight into resources, webinars and potential grant opportunities and awards in your local community from the Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
We look forward to partnering with many of you in the coming months. To share your efforts related to any of these important issues, please contact the HHS Partnership Center at Partnerships@hhs.gov or 202-358-3595.

Tools and Resources

Open enrollment in the Health Insurance Marketplace closes February15!  Take a look at our Affordable Care Act fact sheets and find out how you can help people get covered with health insurance.  Consider how you can host an enrollment event in your community.  There is still time to join other faith-based and community-based organizations in hosting a Second Sunday and Faith weekend of Action this weekend! Keep the conversation going all the way to February 15 by talking to your community members or your family about how important it is to become insured. Learn how to have that conversation through Brother2Brother with three questions you can ask to get the conversation started.  The process does not end with enrollment. Learn the next steps once those in your community get covered.
The 2015 tax season is the first time individuals and families will be asked for some basic information about their health insurance on their tax returns. New fact sheets, info-graphics and videos are available in English and Spanish on the Marketplace website.
