What's Happening in Health IT

In This Issue

Welcome to Day 2 of Health Datapalooza! Among the highlights from yesterday was new research ONC conducted on Patient-Reported Outcomes related to obesity patients with the National Health Service of England. This research sprung from a historic Memorandum of Understanding between the U.S. and the U.K. and patient-reported outcomes data related to obese patients who underwent total knee replacement surgery. The next step is the freeing up of related data and giving it to app developers to use to find innovative new ways to help patients. With the de Beaumont Foundation and the Health Data Consortium we are issuing the Obesity Data Challenge. So check it out and read on for all the ONC sessions today and tomorrow at #HDPalooza along with more activities during this very busy week!
