National Patient Safety Goal on Catheter–Associated Urinary Tract Infections (CAUTI).

Catheter–associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs) are common complications in hospitalized patients. This call for comments seeks the review of existing language for a National Patient Safety Goal regarding practices to prevent CAUTI in hospitals and critical access hospitals and for a new standard in nursing care centers. The deadline for submitting comments standards is October 14, 2015.
