Notice of request for Expert nominations to a Time-Limited Work Group (TLWG) for AHRQ Pediatric Quality Indicators (PDIs) Module
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is seeking nominations for a time-limited workgroup (TWLG) to be convened by an AHRQ contractor. The workgroup shall comprise individuals from multiple disciplines with knowledge of the AHRQ Pediatric Quality Indicators (PDIs), their technical specifications, uses and associated methodological issues.
The purpose of the TLWG is to engage stakeholders in the refinement of AHRQ Quality Indicators (QIs).
Nominee Submission Criteria:-
This diverse workgroup is expected to include individuals with expertise in the following areas: healthcare quality measurement researchpediatric clinical experiencesafety/quality improvementstatisticshealth policy,population healthMedicaidmedical coding, informatics and patient/family advocacy. The time-limited workgroup will convene by teleconference two times during the calendar year 2016 which will include a total time commitment of approximately 8 hours.
Nominations can be sent in the form of a letter or e-mail, preferably as an electronic file with an e-mail attachment. Submission criteria include a nomination letter highlighting qualifications to serve on the TLWG, a curriculum vitae and disclosure of any financial interest in the workgroup activities.
Nominee Selection Criteria:-
Selection of standing workgroup members will be based on the following criteria:

  • Knowledge of and experience with health care quality measurement using administrative data, including issues of coding, specification, and risk adjustment
  •  Peer-reviewed publications relevant to developing, testing, or applying health care quality measures based on ICD-coded administrative data
  •  Knowledge of current quality measurement methodologies published in the literature
  •  Clinical expertise in the use and applications of the AHRQ QIs
  •  Knowledge of the NQF measure submission and maintenance process

The selection process will assure that the work group includes a representative group of clinicians and other individuals from a variety of disciplines and settings.
Please submit nominations on or before December 7, 2015. Self-nominations are welcome. Third-party nominations must indicate that the individual has been contacted and is willing to serve on the workgroup. Selected candidates will be contacted by AHRQ no later than January 15, 2016.
