On-Time Pressure Ulcer Prevention Program Dissemination
Timeframe: 12 months starting on or about March 1, 2016

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is recruiting 50 nursing homes to participate in a facilitated quality improvement opportunity using the On-Time Pressure Ulcer Prevention Program. AHRQ created On-Time to help nursing homes produce clinical reports through their electronic health records that can be used to reduce the occurrence of in-house pressure ulcers. An outcome evaluation with nursing homes in New York showed a 59 percent reduction in the incidence of pressure ulcers when at least three On-Time reports were integrated into care planning processes.

The 50 nursing homes selected will receive individualized training and technical assistance from an experienced On-Time facilitator. The facilitator will train nursing home staff to implement On-Time clinical reports and use them to improve pressure ulcer risk identification and care planning. AHRQ has contracted with NORC and Stratis Health to manage the project.

Applications are now being accepted. Nursing homes interested in participating in this training may complete an online application by going to http://www.cvent.com/d/8fqkhc. Certain eligibility criteria apply.
