This upcoming weekend is a Faith Weekend of Action to make sure people get health insurance for the open enrollment deadline at the end of January. It is a critical time to make sure that the 10 million without health insurance go to www.HealthCare.govto consider their options and see if they qualify for financial assistance.
During this Faith Weekend of Action, we especially want to encourage everyone, especially women, to wear blue this weekend for men's health and to increase awareness that 57% of those who are eligible to get health insurance are men. Take a picture of you and others in your community wearing blue and post it on social media using the hashtag #wearblue4men. Be sure to share with your friends and others why the health of men in your life is important to you.

Videos to use for ACA Faith Weekend of Action
We have new videos on the Health Insurance Marketplace featuring Latino faith and community leaders as well as a video featuring African American leaders. You can also consider using the video released in December including a wide range of faith and community leaders from a variety of traditions. We hope that you share this video widely, particularly on your social media channels.

We will discuss how to enroll and answer your questions. Open enrollment started on November 1 and ends on January 31, 2016.
Linking Fathers to Health Insurance

A Call to Action for Faith Based Leaders: Combat Substance Use Disorders in Your Communities

Faith groups play an essential role in supporting health and wellness in communities across the country; and have a demonstrated history of providing spiritual, social, and emotional assistance for those struggling with substance use disorders. Thus, faith leaders will share their stories on how they are engaging their communities to address the opioid epidemic, building coalitions, reducing stigma and building trauma informed congregations. On this webinar cohosted the Office of National Drug Control Policy, speakers will highlight the unprecedented opportunities that exist with the Affordable Care Act's defined substance abuse treatment benefits and new parity requirements.
Connecting Kids to Coverage
February 11 at 3:00 pm EST (2:00 pm CT, 1:00 pm MT, Noon PT)
Children and teenagers in your congregation or community may qualify for free or low-cost health insurance coverage through Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Many parents may be eligible for Medicaid as well. Learn about the nationwide effort to identify children and youth eligible for Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and get them enrolled.

Accountable Health Communities Model
Description: The Department of Health and Human Services announced a new funding opportunity of up to $157 million to test whether screening beneficiaries for health-related social needs and associated referrals to and navigation of community-based services will improve quality and affordability in Medicare and Medicaid.
Application Deadline: CMS is accepting applications until March 31, 2016.

Targeted Capacity Expansion-Peer-to-Peer
Description:
Description: The purpose of this funding announcement is to expand and enhance service capacity through the provision of peer recovery support services for those individuals with substance use disorders (SUDs) and their family members. It is the expectation that those with lived experience will play and integral role in the design, development and implementation of this program.

Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Support Program
Description: This funding opportunity establishes and strengthens collaboration among communities, public and private non-profit agencies; as well as federal, state, local, and tribal governments to support the efforts of community coalitions working to prevent and reduce substance use among youth. They also seek to reduce substance use among youth and, over time, reduce substance abuse among adults by addressing the factors in a community that increase the risk of substance abuse and promoting the factors that minimize the risk of substance abuse.
Application Deadline: March 18, 2016
