AHRQ--Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality: Advancing Excellence in Health Care

Preventing Avoidable Infectious Complications by Adjustment Payment --A

New Opportunity to Shape Future Policy

Participants are needed for an AHRQ-funded study to evaluate the impact of
Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) payment policies on
hospital infection rates. Conducted by Harvard researchers, the Preventing
Avoidable Infectious Complications by Adjustment Payment (PAICAP) study
is recruiting hospitals to provide information that would inform future policy decisions.
Researchers are using existing National Healthcare Safety Network data already
collected by participants; no additional data collection is needed. Participation
includes 5-10 minutes for sign up and the option to attend an annual webinar on
preliminary study findings. Join an informational webinar on April 29, 2016 from
12:00-1:00 pm ET to find out more.
Go to http://www.paicap.org/goals.html to RSVP or
email the team atpaicap@hphc.org

Details about the study are available at www.paicap.org.
