Today the FDA is sharing an interactive tool for mobile health app developers created by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in collaboration with the FDA, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) and HHS’s Office of Civil Rights (OCR). The purpose of the tool is to help developers whose apps collect, create or share consumer information determine which federal laws apply to their products.
