Help AHRQ Identify Health Literacy Pioneers for Measurement Project

AHRQ--Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality: Advancing Excellence in Health Care

Seeking Organizations Striving to be Health Literate

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is seeking nominations of health care organizations that are actively engaged in implementing interventions to enhance: 1) patient understanding of health information, 2) patient navigation of the physical environment and of the health care system, and/or 3) patient engagement and self-management.
As part of a project to identify a set of quality improvement measures for assessing organizational health literacy, AHRQ’s contactor will interview approximately 25 U.S. health care organizations in the U.S. We seek your assistance in identifying health care organizations that are actively engaged in implementing interventions addressing the 3 priority areas listed above. Please feel free to nominate your own organization.
If you have one or more nominations, please send an email with the following information tohealthliteracy@ahrq.hhs.gov:
  • Organization name:
  • Organization location:
  • Contact (name, email, and phone if available):
  • Brief description of the types of efforts in which the organization is engaged
