Twitter Chat & Webinar: Bringing World Elder Abuse Awareness Day to Your Community

Every June 15th, World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) serves as a call-to-action for individuals, organizations, and communities to bring attention to the issue of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation. 
WEAAD 2016 is quickly approaching, but there’s still plenty of time for you to join the global movement and organize an event in your community.

Whether you organize a WEAAD event every year or are getting involved for the first time, follow #WEAAD2016 on Twitter tomorrow, Thursday April 21, at 2pm ET to learn about and share event tips and ideas.
Discussion questions include:
  • What activities has your community or organization done to commemorate WEAAD?
  • If this is your first WEAAD event, what questions do you have?
  • What is the biggest challenge you’ve overcome in hosting a WEAAD event?
  • What are some other unique and fun WEAAD ideas you’ve heard about?
