Five topics health care simulation can address to improve patient safety: results from a consensus process.

An international group of experts identified the top five topics related to simulation programs for patient safety: technical skills, nontechnical skills, system probing, assessment, and effectiveness. This article describes the consensus process and provides recommendations for patient safety curricula.
