Funding Available for Projects Incorporating Patient Centered Outcomes Research into Clinical Decision Support Systems

Research applications are being solicited by AHRQ for projects aimed at exploring how patient centered outcomes research findings can be incorporated into clinical practice through health IT-enabled clinical decision support systems. Patient centered outcomes, defined as the results of medical care that are important to patients, can give patients and providers the power to make more informed health decisions. The funding opportunities – Scaling Established Clinical Decision Support to Facilitate the Dissemination and Implementation of Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Findings (R18) and Developing New Clinical Decision Support to Disseminate and Implement Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Findings (R18) –  are part of AHRQ’s ongoing support of this work.
