The Roundtable on Health Literacy of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine is seeking to examine how health care quality measures related to health literacy, cultural competence, and language access could be better integrated and then incorporated into ongoing efforts to develop value-based outcomes and payment strategies. This project will consist of two commissioned papers and a workshop.
The Roundtable is currently seeking nominations for individuals who could author the first commissioned paper. The author will identify measures, assess their rigor and current use, and propose an integrated approach to measurement of health literacy, cultural competence, and language access. The author will receive $30,000 upon completion of the paper.
The deadline for nominations is July 29, 2016.To obtain further information, including the statement of work, contact Lyla Hernandez at LHernandez@nas.edu.
