An Opportunity to Help Fight Zika Virus

Please join the HHS Partnership Center and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the webinar launch of the Zika Health Ministers Guide and the Zika Action Guide for Health Ministers on September 21, 2016 1:30 PM (GMT-4:00) Eastern Time (US and Canada).
Health ministers with an interest in the Zika situation in Florida are invited to join a second webinar focused specifically on Florida on September 21, 2016 3:00 PM (GMT-4:00) Eastern Time (US and Canada)
Zika virus is affecting many countries and territories and will likely spread to others. It has been shown to cause serious birth defects when a woman is infected during pregnancy. The virus is spread by Aedes albopictus and Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. Health ministers, when called or motivated to help their community improve resilience and health, can help educate their communities, mobilize people to help control mosquito populations, and reduce the impact of Zika.
The national webinar is part of continued HHS efforts to increase community resilience, deploy community-based interventions, improve access and use of services, and address the levels of stress in our communities.
