HPV Cancers Have increased- 28,500 HPV cancers can be prevented with vaccination.
CDC now recommends 11 to 12 year olds get two doses of HPV vaccine—rather than the previously recommended three doses—to protect against cancers caused by HPV. The second dose should be given 6-12 months after the first dose. The HPV Vaccination Roundtable, in partnership with ACS VACs will host a webinar on December 12 at 1:00 p.m. (ET) on social media resources for HPV vaccination partners, including the tips for Twitter, Facebook, and partner resources for Cervical Cancer Awareness Month (Jan. 2017).

  • Kelli Vos, MSPH, Communications Manager for the Institute for Patient-Centered Initiatives and Health Equity at the GW Cancer Center will present, “Harnessing the Power of Social Media for HPV Prevention: Tools and Resources.”
  • Jennifer Sienko, MPH, Director, National HPV Vaccination Roundtable – Communications and Public Engagement will present, “We’re In! A New Call to Action for HPV Vaccination Partners.”
The webinar is free and open to the public, but you must register online.
