Emerging Services Among Health Information Exchange Networks: Towards Sustainability
A perennial challenge for health information exchange (HIE) networks is sustainability, especially as federal funding ends or takes new forms. Federal Health IT Pavilion: Connecting and Accelerating a FHIR App Ecosystem: Discovery Infrastructure for Clinical Health IT Apps Cooperative Agreement
ONC awarded a cooperative agreement to SMART Health IT to enhance the SMART App Gallery, a resource where developers share apps that use FHIR and SMART APIs and where health care providers can discover and compare apps. This demo highlights enhancements to the beta release and insights about the healthcare app ecosystem.

Session #66: Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) Health IT Policy Update
Leaders from ONC’s Office of Policy will present a detailed session on policy activities.  Join us to hear more about:
  • The 2015 Edition Health IT Certification criteria and how certification supports Quality Payment Program providers and alternative payment models, as well as different care settings;
  • ONC’s rule that helps ensure that certified health IT is operating as it should on-the-ground; and

Session #96: Standards and Technology Updates from ONC
ONC’s Office of Standards and Technology’s Steve Posnack, Chris Muir, and Lauren Wu will host an education session that covers the breadth of its work. This session will include updates regarding ONC Health IT Certification Program operations, health IT testing resources, ongoing pilot activities, standards coordination, and ONC’s innovation-oriented projects.

Federal Health IT Pavilion: LIVE App Demo on Bringing Interoperable Medication Lists to Consumers
Join ONC for a LIVE App Demo on Bringing Interoperable Medication Lists to Consumers. ONC is working with stakeholders to accelerate consumer access to consolidated medication lists pulled from multiple EHRs. During this session, app developers, CareEvolution, Medsafe and RxRevu will present a live demo of FHIR-based solutions to allow individuals to access and share medication lists.

Session #158: Efforts to Assist Providers and Patients In Using Health IT for High Quality Care
The concept of using health IT to provide high quality care has transitioned from vision to reality over the last few years. This session will outline ONC’s tools and resources available to help providers and patients in the care delivery process, with a special focus on population and community health, workforce training, interoperability, consumer engagement, and practice transformation.
