“Háblame Bebé” app wins HRSA Word Gap Challenge
On May 11, the “Háblame Bebé” ("Talk to Me, Baby") mobile app was selected as the grand-prize winner of the multi-phase HRSA Word Gap Challenge.
HRSA’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) designed and led the Challenge to address the “word gap:” the difference in language exposure for children from low-income families versus children from high-income families.

May 24 webinar launches virtual toolkit to address intimate partner violence
Futures Without Violence, the HRSA Office of Women’s Health and Bureau of Primary Health Care, and the Administration for Children and Families will host a webinar (register here) for HRSA grantees on Wed., May 24, 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM EST.
The presentation will orient participants to the new virtual IPV toolkit which helps community health centers better serve domestic violence survivors. This webinar will feature a health center discussing their successful partnership with a domestic violence agency. Participants can earn free continuing medical education credits.
