New AHRQ Views Blog Post Cites Agency Efforts to Address Childhood Obesity

A new AHRQ Views blog post highlights the Agency’s ongoing efforts to curb childhood obesity,

which HHS Secretary Tom Price, M.D., has identified as one of the nation’s most pressing health

challenges. An AHRQ-funded evidence reviewwas recently used by the U.S. Preventive Services

Task Force as the basis for its recommendation statement that health providers screen for obesity

in children and teenagers. In addition, a number of measures in the Pediatric Quality Measures Program

focus on addressing the issue of childhood obesity.
