Senior Scientist

The NIAID Vaccine Research Center (VRC) is recruiting for a senior scientist to oversee preclinical research activities, investigate novel vaccine delivery methods, and serve as the head of the Translational Research Program. Due to the dual research support and animal medicine functions of the position, the VRC is seeking candidates with extensive experience in virology, immunology, or a related scientific field and a doctorate in veterinary medicine.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in vaccine development research, nonhuman primate studies, and good laboratory practices (GLP) animal studies and will have a record of independent research and peer-reviewed publication.
