AHRQ Releases Two New Grantee Profiles: Susan Huang, M.D. and Nasia Safdar, M.D.







As part of AHRQ's work with our partners during Infectious Disease Week, we have released new profiles of two AHRQ grantees who are leaders in preventing healthcare-associated infections (HAIs): Susan Huang, M.D., and Nasia Safdar,M.D. Dr. Huang, Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases, and Medical Director, Epidemiology and Infection Prevention, at the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine, has helped identify HAIs are transmitted and has discovered new approaches to prevent them. Dr. Safdar, Medical Director of Infection Control at the University of Wisconsin’s Hospitals and Clinics, identified better ways to prevent HAIs and make care safer. Check out both new profiles and those of other AHRQ grantees who have made significant contributions to health services research.
