Webinar about Tribal Public Health Emergency Law

American Indian/Alaska Native tribal governments are sovereign entities with inherent authority to create laws and enact health regulations. Coupled with state and federal laws, tribal laws are an essential tool for ensuring effective public health emergency preparedness and response on tribal lands. This webinar, co-sponsored by PHLP and CDC’s Office for Public Health Preparedness and Response, will explore the legal challenges of working on public health emergencies that affect tribes or cross tribal borders. It will also offer practical tips for addressing those challenges through cooperation with tribes. The webinar will take place on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, 1:00–2:00 pm (EDT). Registration is not required.
