Medication errors: the school nurse as second victim.

Second victims can be found in a variety of settings where patient care takes place. This commentary reviews three medication safety incidents involving school nurses and emotional difficulties they experienced as a result. The author outlines a model to help school nurses and educational leadership understand, plan for, and respond after such incidents.
