The impact of improving teamwork on patient outcomes in surgery: a systematic review.

Teamwork training enhances communication and safety culture. This review of teamwork training trials in surgical settings demonstrated mixed evidence as to whether trainings improve patient outcomes. The authors suggest that longer, more robust trainings may more reliably enhance safety.
